Start with the gap that matters
Before changing the creative, compare qualified conversations with confirmed store visits. An ad can attract genuine interest and still lose the customer if nobody checks stock or confirms the location. Count message clicks, actual conversations, visits scheduled, visits attended and verified orders as different events.
Five reasons inquiries stall
- The offer is not precise. A shopper expects the same price, product and conditions they saw in the ad.
- The promoted item is not available at the selected store. Ad copy and inventory are out of sync.
- Staff answer with a generic sale slogan rather than the shopper's specific question.
- Leads move between stores or shifts with no named owner or follow-up reminder.
- The business optimizes for cheap messages rather than useful conversations and store visits.
A simple diagnostic exercise
Choose ten recent paid-social inquiries from one location. For each, check how long it took to send a useful response, whether the requested product was available, whether one person owned follow-up, and whether an appointment was confirmed. Record the first point where the conversation stopped.
- If interest is low: test clearer, verified product photos and price context.
- If interest is high but appointments are low: change message quality, product availability checks or the invitation to visit.
- If appointments are high but attendance low: reconfirm location, hours and reservation status.
- If attendance is good but sales are low: review stock, offer fit and in-store experience with retail staff.
A message that helps the customer decide
The message answers the question and offers a next step without inventing urgency. Do not reuse a sale price until it is verified for that store.
Hi [first name], thanks for asking about the [product] at [location]. I can confirm today's availability and send photos, or help you schedule a time to see it. Which would you prefer?
What to measure weekly
Separate campaign engagement from sales outcomes. Track messages, qualified conversations, visits scheduled, visits attended and verified orders by store. A showroom visit can be influenced by more than one marketing channel, so treat attributed revenue estimates carefully.
- Visit booking rate = confirmed visits / qualified conversations.
- Visit show-up rate = attended visits / confirmed visits.
- Sales close rate = verified sales / attended visits.
We can review your real lead flow, booking steps and follow-up gaps. An audit is a starting point, not a promise of sales results.
